A Spectacular Event where Differences are Pushed aside to join in as One Nation.
“Colours in Harmony”, the theme of Chingay 2020 where people of all races come together in celebration of Singapore’s diversity and multiculturalism. The Chingay festival, an annual tradition held during the Chinese New Year period, where performances present a beautiful fusion of the different cultures in Singapore. This year’s celebration also commemorates the milestone of the PA’s 60 years of community building with the people.
Roar in Harmony:
Cheerforce Singapore dressed in black and gold modern tribe costume, representing the lion tribe. Strong enough to stand alone but this lion tribe supports each other.
People's Association Youth Movement: Expressing yourself through the community. We, the youth of the nation are one after all.
Harmony in Motion: Celebrating diversity in harmony, a unique fusion of four different races together as one. Distinct ethnical differences yet common elements in performance.
TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) Asia Pacific: Shining brightly through 60 years of the PA’s community building, commemorating the milestone.
Colours of Spring: The different cultures now as one in harmony. Where flowers bloom, so does hope.
Out of Unity is strength: 650 youth performers with bamboo sticks of 6 different colours. Representing strength as one, bamboos bound together, the same way the bond people of different belief, cultures and races here in Singapore have.
